My Post On Calvinism/Reformed Theology Stirred Up A Big One!

So yeah, we stirred up a big one with my Calvinist/Reformed Theology post. I got a few "not so nice" messages today, but it's all good. What's crazy is that in the Sphere of Christian Rap/Holy Hip Hop or whatever you wanna' call it (I really don't care), my stance doctrinally is always pointed out as heretical by MOST Calvinist/Reformed people.

Rappers such as Lecrae, and Flame take subliminal jabs on their songs, and even promote anti-Charismatic books on their websites.

Preachers and teachers that I consider to be great Men and Women of God (ex. Kenneth E. Hagin, Kenneth Copeland, Benny Hinn, Creflo Dollar, Joyce Meyer and more) are publicly branded heretics by these people. It's like if you're not into Paul Washer or John Piper's teachings then you're "off." And if you know what I'm talking about, then you know I'm telling the truth.

They got upset with me (some of my blog readers) cause I didn't "brand" my post with a buncha' scriptures. I wasn't doing a teaching, I was expressing my thoughts "from my heart, from the Word." If you know the Word, then you know there was a whole buncha' scripture in my post. And it was still all in love. I have been praying all day for God to keep me focused, and to help me to continue to walk in love, for real.

John The Baptist was walking in love when he called the Pharisees vipers.

Jesus was walking in love when He flipped tables.

Peter was walking in love when he told the sorcerer Simon that his heart wasn't right and to repent.

Paul was walking in love when he warned of false teachers and doctrines, and when he warned of certain people by name.

Sometimes "LOVE" doesn't sound or even act "fluffy" like some people would like it to sound and act.

I have personally spoken and debated with some of these people (Calvinist/Reformed) in the past, so my post was based on those encounters. Line upon line I addressed something that they said TO ME, personally. However, I do realize that even within in their camps, there are some disagreements and points when it comes to their doctrines.

And I also know that everyone that believes like I believe are not going to agree on everything all of the time. I don't always agree with everything said by some preachers that I look up to. But when it comes to the essential things (what God deems essential based on His Word and not what man says is essential) we do agree.

A few years ago I actually stopped frequenting certain "Christian Hip Hop" message boards. The hate, heresy hunting, and bashing of people that I look up to was so bad, that I started to get very discouraged and confused. I saw Jay Z and other anti-Christ personalities being big-upped and reverenced, and TRUE Men and Women of God being slandered!

So is this something new to me? Nah, my wife, family, and friends will tell you that I have had these concerns for a long time. So trust me, I wasn't, and I'm not "hating," I'm just taking a stand.

Standing for what I know God wills to do THROUGH and IN His Body by His Holy Ghost...
In The Name Of Jesus Christ, according to His Word.

I've heard some of them say that there are no prophets or apostles active in the church today.

I've heard some of them say that tongues have been done away with.

As a Prophet (by the grace of God) that speaks in other tongues, and that has dear friends that are apostles, I just publicly choose to disagree with the teachings.

And please don't misunderstand me, It's not the people that I have a problem with. It's the things that they are teaching that I have a problem with. I love the people. I have sincerely prayed for them many times.

What I'm going to do about it though is teach, preach and demonstrate The Truth. The full TRUTH (Gospel).

That's actually what I have been doing all along. That's why my messages in my songs are about what they are about. In obedience to God, and led by The Holy Ghost of course.

What do y'all think my song "DEVOTED" is mainly about (for me anyway)? Now you know.

I'm not up for debates, I'm letting y'all know that right now. There's no time for that. I'm after souls, and I wanna' see the Church grow strong.

But I will continue to be real, and I will continue to walk in love with it.

I will not try to vindicate myself, my doctrine, or my actions. I'll let God take care of that as I do what He tells me to do.

Some of the nastiest, most prideful, no-love-showing-people that I have ever met in my life have been Calvinist/Reformed people. I aint saying all of them are like that, but it's been about 95-98 percent for me.

And to be totally honest, since I tell people this anyway, one of the reasons why I believe it's like that is because of that "election doctrine" that they subscribe to (I praise God that my pastor publicly renounces that doctrine from the pulpit).

I believe that particular doctrine cuts half (or even more) of God's love out of The Gospel...

I'll leave y'all with a few scripts on this! Lol.

"For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)
Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life.
For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.
Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound:
That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord." (Romans 5:17-19)

"For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead:
And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again.
Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more.
Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;
To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation." (2 Corinthians 14-19)

"And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world."
(1 John 2)

"The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world." (John 1:29)

"And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me." (John 12:32)
[side note: SOME people teach that only "the elect" are drawn by The Holy Spirit when The Gospel is preached, but when the Gospel is being preached, and Christ is being lifted up, ALL that hear are being drawn. It's up to them to believe or reject it. That's "the calling."]

"And said unto the woman, Now we believe, not because of thy saying: for we have heard him ourselves, and know that this is indeed the Christ, the Saviour of the world." (John 4:42)

Every human on the face of this Earth has the opportunity to receive the free gift of righteousness through Jesus Christ! That's what God wills for ALL OF US, but it's up to us to BELIEVE!

I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;
For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.
For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;
Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.
For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;
Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time. (1 Timothy 1-6)

Genetically Altered Christianity [by Jesse Duplantis] (This Is A Must Read!)

This is an awesome article written by Jesse Duplantis (a true man of God)! I had to post it!
----------------------------------------

What do I mean by “genetically altered”? The word genetic comes from the root genesis, meaning “origins,” or “beginnings.” A genetically altered gospel means it has been distorted, polluted, perverted and changed—altered from its origin or purity. God Himself said in Psalm 89:34, “My covenant will I not break, nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips.”

When it comes to God’s Word, I just accept what He says. There are serious dangers associated with creating a genetically altered gospel, based on philosophy that tries to make the Bible accommodate rather than challenge man. And the Apostle Paul strongly warned against it!

Beware!

Colossians 2:4-7 warns that Gnosticism, or philosophy, is trying to infiltrate the Church. “And this I say, lest any man should beguile you with enticing words.... As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him: rooted and built up in him, and established in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving.” Paul is telling them to be rooted and established in their faith in Christ (the Anointed One), because deception is coming.

Verse 8 says, “Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.”
Paul said, Beware, meaning “to be on guard against; be cautious of...” “lest any man spoil you....” Spoil means “to strip, rob, damage severely, render unfit for use.” Paul warned against four deceptions that threatened to rob the Church of their faith in God—philosophy, vain deceit, the tradition of men and the rudiments of the world.

The Gnostics were a sect who thought they had secret superior knowledge of spiritual matters, spawning false doctrine and spiritualism. The philosophers were heady and high-minded intellectualists who examined the Word through critical analysis and rational investigation. They were both prideful and puffed up with what I call “lofty intellectualism”—too much thinking and reasoning outside the Word of God. It will darken your understanding, pollute your conscience, weaken your will and rob you of your faith! First John 5:4 tells us our faith is the victory that overcomes the world. No wonder the devil’s after it!

Paul goes on to say in Colossians 2:9-10, “For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power.” Here they had Jesus Christ the Anointed One living inside them, and the devil was creeping in to move them off the truth.
In Galatians 1:7-8 Paul said, “...there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.” Then he warns that “though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed....”

Why is Paul so concerned about the gospel being weakened? Because it’s being challenged by religion, that’s why. Religion comes from a genetically altered Bible gov- erned by the mind of the flesh instead of the inspiration of the Spirit.

Too Much Thinking

You cannot “figure out” the Word of God through sense knowledge. Second Timothy 3:16-17 says, “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: that the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.” The Word of God is received through revelation, and it equips and empowers us to do good works.

The devil is out to steal your power—the faith in your heart that comes out your mouth. Genetically altered religion weakens faith and wanders in a diseased delirium. It causes loss of Christian liberties, joys of salvation, good seed sown into good ground, and the divine rays of God’s light from warming your heart. It generates confusion and brings division to the Body of Christ, and nobody knows what to believe. That’s why the Body of Christ has so many denominations—every one of them believing some- thing different.

And what is its source? Intellectual activity. It’s anti- Christ. Anti-anointing. Anti-power. It’s an alternate way of thinking. Philosophical thinking will get you so far off course you’ll begin to believe there are many path-ways to God.

Jesus said in John 14:6, “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” When we’ve got Jesus, we’ve got the whole package. Jesus is the Way, so we can’t get lost; He is the Truth, so we can’t be deceived; and He is the Life, so the devil can’t kill us—as long as we stay on the pure Word.

And to stay on the pure Word, we have to know what God said—and be persuaded of what He meant! As one minister puts it, “The Bible is so simple you need help to misunderstand it.” Well, we know who that help comes from! That’s why the devil’s been misquoting the Word and questioning what God said since the serpent asked Eve in the garden, “Hath God said?”

If God Said It—Believe It!

Psalm 119:89 says the Word is forever settled in heaven. That’s good enough for me. If God said it, I believe it! Yet, I hear people say all the time, “Well, I prayed but I didn’t receive.” So? Does that change the Word? Romans 3:3-4 says, “For what if some did not believe? shall their unbelief make the faith of God without effect? God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar....” We may fall short of receiving the benefits of the Word, but the Bible does not fall short. Our lack of experience does not change the Word of God.

“But Brother Jesse, we tried that and it didn’t work.” You don’t try the Word. You believe it and do it. If you’re having a hard time believing and receiving, don’t question the integrity of the Word. You need to renew your mind to the Word, not to the opinions of men. The gospel will prove itself. “Be not con- formed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renew- ing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God” (Romans 12:2). Religion never transforms, it only conforms.

Look again at some of those religious statements I mentioned earlier, and a few others:

• “You never know what God’s gonna do.” Well, just read His Book and you’ll find out.
• “Well, if it be His will.” But you can know His will. Ephesians 5:17 says, “Be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is.”
• “He’s sovereign.” Yes! But He does not go against His Word. • “Now don’t get your hopes up.” You’d better get your hopes up! Hebrews 11:1 says, “Faith is the substance of things
hoped for....”

A man once criticized me for preaching prosperity. He said, “I don’t believe in prosperity.” I told him, “Well, you must really be enjoying the recession.” Then I said to him, “That’s a nice truck you have.”
“Well, yeah.” “You have a nice house?” He said, “Uh, yeah.” Then I asked, “Why? You’re criticizing me because I’m practicing what I believe, but you’re not practicing what you believe. You need to get rid of that truck and go live under a bridge since you believe in poverty.”
He was shocked.

People like that look at you as if you’re crazy when you stand on the Word and believe God. God has become an opinion to them instead of a reality.
I grew up under the doctrine of suffering and poverty. We lived in an 8-foot by 32-foot trailer. But it had its advantages— when a hurricane came, we took our house with us! We never lost our house; we’d just come back, put it on blocks and start
again. I know that sounds funny, but that’s the way we lived. We were suffering for Jesus.

A genetically altered gospel says we must suffer with sickness, when the Word says in 1 Peter 2:24, “By [His] stripes ye were healed.”
“But I’m sick, Brother Jesse.” I understand that, but I’m trying to get you to focus on “ye were healed” instead of what you’re experiencing. You have to fight back with the Word of God instead of agreeing with circumstances.

Here are a few more:

• “You’re bearing this for the sake of the Cross.” Jesus took our infirmities and bore our sicknesses!
• “God’s trying to teach you something.” Well, learn it and move on.
• “Well, when the Lord gets ready, He’ll do something.” Faith is now. Aren’t you tired of waiting? When are you going to get healed? When is your family going to get saved? Why keep pushing your blessing to the future when you can bring it into the right-now by believing and speaking faith-filled words, instead of making religious excuses for it not working in your life?
• “That’s not for today.” Well, how did I get it? And why don’t you want it?

I could go on addressing religious-sounding statements, but the point is, if the Word says it, believe it. Don’t ever change the Word to fit a situation! Let the Word transform you through the renewing of your mind.

Philosophical thinkers are “ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth” (2 Timothy 3:7). Philosophy never comes to an answer. Jesus is the Answer.

Christianity is a personal relationship with the living God. When you “trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding” (Proverbs 3:5), you can stand on the Word of God and boldly proclaim, “I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day” (2 Timothy 1:12).

Calvinism, Reformed Theology and Facebook...No, Thanks.

Recently I made a very hard important decision concerning Facebook. I felt like a few people on my friends list were posting and promoting things, that I feel are a threat to my personal faith walk, and a threat to the effectiveness of the Body of Christ period. If you do not know by now, I am not a Calvinist, and I do not agree with the doctrines of Calvinism and reformed theology (mainly the TULIP). I'm simply a FULL GOSPEL, bible believing CHRISTIAN! So to get straight to the point, I had to delete a few fokes from my friends list (and I'll probably be deleting more if I feel that I need to).

What made the decision so hard for me is that a few of these people I know personally and I truly love 'em,  But I have to guard my heart, and I have to contend for The Faith that was once delivered. Some of the fokes that got deleted actually called me their mentor at one time...before they went to a faithless seminary, or before they got a heart full of some faithless music. Some of the people that got deleted are popular Christian rap artists, but regardless of the genre title, Truth is Truth, and error is error.

I've seen these doctrines shipwreck the lives of believers who were once "on fire."
When I say fire, I'm not talking about zeal or passion, I'm talking about "Holy Ghost Fire!"...PENTECOST (yeah, I believe that Holy Ghost baptism, tongues, signs, miracles, and wonders are for today, and are ESSENTIAL to what God wills to do IN and THROUGH The Body of Christ TODAY).

(I don't believe that Holy Ghost baptism with the evidence of speaking in tongues is needed to go to heaven though. Just to make that clear).

I already know what some people will say, simply because they are programmed to think this way. They will say that this is bringing division and that I should be trying to "unify" with these people. I do not agree.

There are certain things that are non-negotiable, especially when it comes to things concerning the expression of God's character and His love (Which Jesus was an express image of during His time here on Earth).

I believe that man has a free will. Throughout the bible people are directed by God to make CHOICES. Starting with Adam and Eve.

Yes, I believe that God is sovereign, and I believe (according to His Word) that in His sovereignty He will not violate His Word...this is a partnership, not a dictatorship. It's possible to grieve and quench The Holy Ghost.

I don't believe that His grace is irresistible, Man CAN resist God's grace.

I believe that Salvation is for ALL, and not only for an elect few. The elect & chosen are simply those who believe on Jesus (John 3:16). He chose to have mercy on ALL! The called are those who hear the Gospel period. Many ARE CALLED, few are chosen (believe).

I don't believe that God sovereignly chooses who He is going to heal, and who He's not going to heal, what kind of FATHER is that? Healing is in the Atonement, and divine healing, along with salvation is His divine will for ALL. God is a GOOD GOD!

So if you were one of the people that got deleted from my friends list, know that I love you, I really do, but I love and reverence God AND HIS PLAN more. I know there's lots of people on my Facebook friends list that are probably Calvinist / reformed, but if you got removed, that means that you are really pushing that mess.

I know that some people could care less, but this is for the ones that emailed me asking why they got deleted.

If you're a Pastor of a Faith / Word / Full Gospel church, BE ON YOUR WATCH. Your kids / flock are being targeted by these artist. They don't mind coming to your church to "minister." I've personally seen them talking on message boards (and on songs) saying that they are trying to get your people out of "that teaching." That's wolfish in my book.

This is something that I had been praying about for YEARS, and now I feel like God is saying "Son, it's time to talk."

If you plan on trying to debate me or plan on sending me some long drawn out teaching etc., please don't even waste your time, I've already heard it, and I'm standing firm in The Faith...BY FAITH.

I believe that God is with me, and if He be for me, who can be against me?

"For King and Kingdom!"
